Is it not possible to choose the language when opting for a translator. I understand dutch better than French. Why am I not able to choose a dutch text/translator

Errr .... where and why would you need a Dutch translator then ?
It's not very clear wether you refer to the theory site or the official examinations, but ...

In Flanders we speak and do both theory and practical exams in Dutch as standard
In Brussels you should also be able to do the exam in Dutch
