Priority Question

Bericht door tangoomega »

I am confused on some priority questions.

I understand priority from the right. But assuming there are no road signs, when does the priority from the right don't apply ?

In question 8678, It says that

The Lorry is the last to leave. Can you explain why ?

I also thought that when a car is joining the main road, it has to wait until the road is clear which makes the normal car last to leave ?

Your help in clarifying will be very appreciated.

?????????
That's not a traffic rule in Belgium.

Read very well in your textbook "Theory B" p122 till 127 the theory about priority from the right. Everything is explained step by step.

In this exercice:
1. bike
2. car
3. truck

Coming from a path or track :

If you are coming out from a path or track(depends on the definition of a track) onto a road, you have no priority of any kind. You must give way to all drivers on the road, whether they are coming from the left or the right. (Driving in Belgium from A to Z Theory:new edition)

So from my answer, it looks like the car is coming out of a track which means he has to give priority to the bike and lorry .

Sorry, but I have the impression that you make exams without learning the theory very well.
This question has nothing to do with the previous.
This is about a car (blue) coming out of a prohibitive (forbidden) direction. Look at the road sign.
In that case you dont have to give right of way.

See explanation in our book p. 124.

People can have doubts and miss very little things. It is up to people who know who can help direct them in a nice and polite way. No one is perfect. I read the book effectively but that does not entail that i can't make mistakes which is human. I believe the point of this forum is also to clear misunderstandings. Referring me to the book is good although i am using the other version but having that impression is impolite. Now i realise it is actually a one way road and thanks for letting me know that. I won't bother coming for a reply but thanks anyway.

I had the impression that you didn't learn the theory very well, (or that you used the old green book), because in the new English book, these things are explained very well.
Good luck with your exam.

It's a regular cobblestone road
