Rolling on the gas stabilises you in the turn
It's the easiest to control variable in the equation between speed, lean angle, and the turn itself
If you ever do true switchback turns in the Alps, with traffic coming the other way, rolling on (sometimes a lot of) gas will keep you upright on the inside of the turn
