if there are two lanes can you continue to drive in left lane in build up area the answer is yes in theory but in exams it shows we should always drive in right lane? what is the correct answer

You're probably mixing up different conditions,
like in a built-up area or not,
or the minimum number of lanes is not met (at least 2 either way)

Have you got a number for the question where you "should always drive on the right" ?

I have clearly mention in build up area and there are two lanes, I have mention the question No - 12555 on the heading itself.

In the conditions in question 12555 you're allowed to keep driving in the left lane

You're in a built-up area
+ The carriageway you're on is divided in (2) lanes
+ The carriageway you're on only allows traffic in one way (the carriageway in other direction is separated by a physical median)

So the exception applies


And yes, it's all far too complicated, too conditional ...
