MGW vs MAW signs

Bericht door Anna Luísa »

Hello!

I have a question regarding what are the current signs applicable to M.G.W and M.A.W at the moment.
My book seems to not be updated, however, doing the tests on the website, I came across two different things.

Simulation Exam Question 11176 says that sign 1+3 are related to M.G.W, however I have seen in another test that sign 3 became M.A.W sign since Oct 2022. So could you please confirm what are the correct signs for each type (MGW and MAW) ?

Thank you very much in advance!
Kind regards,
Anna

That question will need to be updated as the mass sign in "3" now also relates to maximum allowed weight.

Theory needs updating too GRO

MAW is to be considered for signs relating to

Parking
I (inhalen = overtaking ... "I wanna go faster")
C (used to be cruise-control but now applies to commercial vehicles ie trucks, lorries, or the French "camion" )
Speed

The other signs or sub-signs are about MGW - ie effective weight at that moment

And until lawmakers change that once more ...
