Can you explain why 8549 is "must be on the lane" and in 8542 it is "allowed"?

Can you explain why 8549 is "must be on the lane" and in 8542 it is "allowed"?

Different road marking = different meaning

In 8549 it a continuous line indicating you can't go into it at all

in 8542 it's a buslane with a dotted line, meaning you can go into it near an intersection, to turn that way at that intersection


As of june 2027, both different types of buslane will legally merge into 1, and you can go into the buslane when the line becomes dotted, to turn at the next intersection
