Hi,

For question 9065, What do you do first when you see a casualty?

A. Call the number 112.
B. Remove any obstruction from the mouth.
C. Move him into a safe position.

My choice is A, but the answer is B.

Could anyone gives more information?

I think the confusion here stems from the word casualty, in general it's used to refer to a deceased person (so removing obstructions would be pointless - they're already dead), but a casualty does not necessarily refer to someone who's dead, it can also refer to someone who's just badly hurt or in the process of dying.

I think the question is not clear, if it mentions some one has difficulty in breathing then I may choose B.

Oxford English Dictionary refers to casualty as

a person who is killed or injured in war or in an accident


It takes a doctor to confirm death
Besides, you can keep "dead" people alive - if you don't let them suffocate ...
