Misschien wel of misschien niet.
Je kunt best informatie zoeken over de franse wetgeving.

Er is nog dit :

INTERPRETATIEVE MEDEDELING VAN DE COMMISSIE BETREFFENDE HET RIJBEWIJS IN DE EU
(2002/C 77/03 - PB 28.3.2002)
Punt B3 - vierde streepje

Groeten,

Hello,

the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology of Austria requested from alle EU countries, if the austrian B driver's license would be accepted for driving a scooter with 125cc in the respective country.

Italy, Latvia, Portugal, Spain and the Czech Republic have declared that the (austrian) B driver's license is accepted to drive a motorcycle up to 125cc, but with some national restrictions. One may drive in Portugal only a minimum age of 25 years and in Spain with possession of class B for at least 3 years. And only vehicles with an automatic transmission in the Czech Republic.

Link:
Driver's license law of Austria -Implementing decree (Date: September 2013):
http://www.bmvit.gv.at/verkehr/strasse/ ... 201309.pdf" target="_blank

I think, that also Belgian citicens might be allowed to drive a scooter with 125cc in Italy, Latvia, Portugal, Spain and the Czech Republic, but with national restrictions mentioned above.

I also got this from a spanish man with a licence B, who asked how to drive in France.

The answer from the french prefecture was, that a holder of a driving license category B obtained between 01/03/1980 and 19/01/2013 must have a document issued by an insurer attesting to the practice of driving a vehicle 125 CC in the five years before 01/01/2011. Then he can drive his scooter in France.

Hello,

as I wrote, the Federal Ministry for Transport, Innovation and Technology of Austria (BMVIT) said, that Austrians cat got to Italy, Latvia, Portugal, Spain and the Czech Republic because these EU countries have declared that the austrian B driver's license (same as in Belgium) is accepted to drive a motorcycle up to 125cc (with some national restrictions).

And of course we can go with our bikes to Italy, Latvia, Portugal, Spain and the Czech Republic.

The BMVIT contacted the foreign ministeries an got a declaration of consent. I think, that the belgian government should also contact the EU countries for legal certainty. But who will ask the belgian government to do this?

I can only show, how things worked in Austria. Belgium is a small country and the question, how to go abroad, arises soon.

Greetings from
Austria

PS: Some people I know went to Italy an it was absolute no problem. The same with the Czech Republic. Lativa and Spain are far away and we have no common borders with this countries.
