This question and the officially required answer, date back to the early days of ABS , when it was still optional , and when even on dry roads, the stopping distance was usually longer than without ABS

Today the question is mute because
- ABS has improved massively
- all new and most 2nd hand cars have ABS anyway


But the question has remained in the official list of Qs ...
