Hi,
Can somebody please explain the difference between adapted safety seat and child restraint system?
How the seat types vary with age and height of the child?
Can you provide me answers for below?
Which type of seat required for child,
- Under 18 and under 1.35m?
- Under 18 and over 1,35m?
- Over 18 and under 1.35m?
- Over 18 and over 1.35m?
Adapted safety seat and child restraint system
Re: Adapted safety seat and child restraint system
By adapted safety seat, do you mean the heightening cushions (restraint systems Group 2/3 ) ?
There are many different systems that all do the same thing: restrain a child during a crash
These systems are divided in groups, 0, 0+, 1, 2 , 3 depending on weight (2 and 3 often get combined)
And secondary, length, as a child may get taller than a system allows for, even though the child hasn't reached the system's max weight
Then it's time to move up a group
The use of a child restraint system is only mandatory when a child is under 18 AND under 135cmCan you provide me answers for below?
Which type of seat required for child,
- Under 18 and under 1.35m?
Groep 0 ≤10 kg.
Groep 0+ ≤ 13 kg.
Groep 1 = 9 tot 18 kg
Groep 2 = 15-25 kg
Groep 3 = 22-36 kg.
Groep 2+3 = (15-36 kg)
They don't need to use a child restraint system- Under 18 and over 1,35m?
- Over 18 and under 1.35m?
- Over 18 and over 1.35m?
Re: Adapted safety seat and child restraint system
Is it mean below child categories can sit any passenger seat in the car with ordinary seat belts?
- Under 18 and over 1,35m?
- Over 18 and under 1.35m?
- Over 18 and over 1.35m?
- Under 18 and over 1,35m?
- Over 18 and under 1.35m?
- Over 18 and over 1.35m?
Re: Adapted safety seat and child restraint system
Yes
Though under 135cm you'd better use a heightening cushion ... but it's no longer mandatory
