Bericht door anuborde »

Hello Team,

Answer for 7593 is C. An instruction sign and answer for question 7677 is B.Information sign.

How is that possible to have different answers for a same question?

Could you please explain.

The Belgian traffic rules are in Dutch or in French.
In Dutch this sign is an "aanwijzingsbord". In French: "signal d'indication",
When we send Dutch-language questions to translation agencies, they sometimes use different terms for 'aanwijzingsbord', such as: , 'indication sign' 'information sign' ''instruction sign''. I understand that sometimes it is confusing.

My advice: try to remember a few official terms. It are these terms that you will see on the computer screen during the official exam.
If you do an exam in Flanders, the Dutch words. If you do an exam in Wallonia, the French words.

Dutch: "gevaarsborden" -- French "signal de danger" -- English danger sign or warning sign
Dutch: "voorrangsbord" -- French "signal relatif à la priorité" -- English priority sign
Dutch: "verbodsbord" -- French "signal d'interdiction" -- English prohibitive sign"
Dutch: "gebodsbord" -- French "signal d'obligation" -- English positive instruction sign or commandment sign
Dutch: 'aanwijzingsbord' -- French 'signal d'indication' -- English information sign or instruction sign.

Maybe you could instruct the translation agencies to use the terms as mentioned in the traffic rules. The customer is the king (as long as he pays).

Thanks for the wonderful reply team. Could you please also let me know the correct answer in English. Is it information or instruction sign? Which answer is English should I click if I could not understand Dutch at that time.

Hello Team,

Sorry to bother you again for this question.

Dutch: "gebodsbord" -- French "signal d'obligation" -- English positive instruction sign or commandment sign
Dutch: 'aanwijzingsbord' -- French 'signal d'indication' -- English information sign or instruction sign.

What is the difference between these two signs.

aanwijzingsbord does it mean information?
gebodsbord does it mean instruction?

gebodsbord word also has positive instaruction word and aanwijzingsbord word also have instruction word.

So it is confusing for me.

Thanks in advance.
