1 is correct

2 and 3 aren't

You need to check wether all is safe before slowing down or preparing to change direction

You need to indicate your intentions before starting to change direction (which generally requires slowing down)

Confusing exam question

I gave my exam yesterday and cleared it. There was one question which I found bit tricky to answer:

You are driving on a regular road having a cycle lane in a built-up area. You need to turn right in which order do you do tasks

1. Check mirrors, turn indicator on, slow down
2. Turn indicator on, check mirrors, slow down
3. Slow down, check mirrors, turn indicator on

I am not able to justify 1 or 2 as being always right.
I typically check mirrors while I turn the indicator on. I don't see any reason to split the tasks, is there any case where we do only one of them? Like check mirror and decide not to take the right turn!

Any comments?
