Now after mastering your theory, start answering your questions. Be smart and alert coz there isnt any time limit in the book version so you may learn to do it slowly, but you need to be fast and spot on. Meanwhile, go to the exam centre and take an appointment for the exam. For example, I took the exam at RUE COLONEL, BOURGSTRAAT 118, 1140 Brussels. Usually, the appointment would be after a month or within 2-3 weeks. It depends. I paid 50 Euros for the Official translation Charges and said that the rest (15 Euros), on the day of exam.
I reached the exam centre at 7:15 AM. Because the appointment was at 07:30AM. There were quite a few other people along with me. We registered and waited for the exam to begin. Little later, we were asked to get inside the hall. Every one had their individual computers and each computer was separated with a CARD BOARD so that we wont be able to see into the neighbors computer. The reason being, everyone had the SAME questions. The translator(Male) came in and told us the rules. That we all would have the same questions and he would be translating in the Microphone so that we all could hear clearly and then answer the questions. We had 4 questions to get used to the system, his translation and etc.
The questions were in FRENCH. Anyone knowing atleast a little bit of french would be benefited in reading and understanding if at all you dont understand it in English. Now, how is the pattern.
1. The questions appeared on the screen.(FRENCH)
2. The Translator translated the questions with options into English ( 2 times) on the Microphone and we could hear it in the speakers placed in the room. While reading the questions, the timing isnt ON nor we can choose the option. We need to wait to click till he finish translating it 2 times.
3. After that, we had 15 seconds to make the right choice. For example, the question has 3 options (A,B,C), you can click A and then B or even C within the stipulated time. You can change your answers. But Only after completion of the 15 seconds, which ever option you have clicked at the last will be counted.
4. After the 15 seconds are over, the translator will again start the same process from 1.
Thats the pattern. At first, it was a bit hard to get used to the translators voice. He was a bit fast and wasnt clear. But after a few requested, he read it slow.
So, my frens prepare well for this exam. there were many who were writing for the 2nd and 3rd time. I mean, you could spare money if you have. But why you have to if you can prepare well. The same exam costs 15 Euros in Dutch and French. And for English it is 65 Euros. this is a big amount and I advice you to prepare well before jumping into it and simple wasting.
All the best............
