If they ask this question during the exam, (probably they will do) you have to answer that it is allowed.
The exam center follows the opinion of the Ministry of Transportation.

Unless your vehicle is allowed onto the bus lane, you're NOT allowed to drive in a bus lane except
- (1) to go around an obstacle on the roadway
- (2) immediately before turning left/right at an intersection

This is a limiting list, meaning only this use is allowed, nothing else.

Though the Ministry of Transportation says waiting in a bus lane is not explicitly forbidden, it simply doesn't need to be explicitly forbidden ...
You can't get your car in a waiting position in a bus lane unless you drive it there, and driving your car to a waiting position is not an allowed use of such a lane.

The MoT won't pay your fine if the police or police court see the rules differently than they do ...

- to park alongside the bus lane

Hi!
I know the correct answer to this question is “incorrect” based on the second statement concerning the use of bus lane for overtaking or safe passing. But my question concerns the first statement: “it is NOT allowed to WAIT or park on bus lane”. In chapter 22 of the book, it is explicitly mentioned that no waiting on special reserved routs for bus/tram while no mention of this for bus lane. Also on the dutch website of the chapter (http://www.gratisrijbewijsonline.be/theorie/leerstof-rijbewijs-b/trein-tram-bus) it is mentioned that it is apparently not illegal to wait. But this statement says otherwise. So which is correct. Can we wait on bus lane or not?
