Hello,

The question shows a D1 mandatory-direction sign requiring the driver to turn right and asks:

“Does the driver have to turn on the turn signal?”

The answer given by the course is NO, because the blue sign already indicates that the driver must turn right.

I don't understand this answer. According to the Belgian traffic rules, a driver must indicate when changing direction, and the Federal Police explicitly states that when turning right or left at a junction, the driver must use the direction indicator.

Why this question considers the indicator unnecessary? Is this a specific interpretation of the exam/course, or is the question/answer outdated?

Because if this is an exam question, what should we actually answer?
