What exactly is the difference and how can we tell which one they refer to by looking at a road sign?
The only sign left that's really about effective, actual vehicle weight while on the road, is the sign C21

All other signs refer to maximal allowed vehicle weight (regardless of how much it actually weight at the moment)

This sign Afbeelding Could be either, as not legally determined :

It may indicate a prohibition based on either max. allowed vehicle weight, or on its actual weight (C21, as noted above) around the corner - you'll never know until you see the actual sign there ...

Hello everyone,

it's really unclear to me when a sign talks about the M.A.W or the M.G.W.

What exactly is the difference and how can we tell which one they refer to by looking at a road sign?

thanks!!
