The basic rule is you're NOT allowed to follow a painted bicycle path on the left of the road.
In order to be allowed (or obliged) to follow a bicycle path on the left of a road,
it MUST be marked by a sign D7
or D9
The normal rules apply:
D7 and D9 are mandatory for class A
D9 only applies to class A mopeds, class B is not allowed onto these cycling paths
D7 is speed-dependent for class B :
up to 50, using the cycling path is optional
above 50, using the cycling path is mandatory
These rules can be altered by white signs underneath the D7 that can oblige you to use the cycling path, or forbid you to do so ...
