Normally, changing lanes is a manoeuvre and you need to yield to all road users while doing so.

But ...
Because the right lane ends, and traffic signs force you to go left as you follow the right edge of the roadway, the Court of Cassation (highest court in Belgium on traffic matters) has decided that a driver coming from the right in this situation, has priority from the right ...

Be careful with this, as few people will know it (even within the police force ...)

That applies ONLY when you need to use the "zipper" method ...

In Belgium, that means the 3 conditions must be met:

- there are lanes marked on the road

- traffic flow must already be severely impeded
(ie, you must already have a traffic jam, before using the zipper-method ! )

- at least one lane must end, or somehow become no longer useful to traffic

There's no indication on the drawings or in the text that these conditions are met, so ... no zipper
