What's the date on that book ?

This was changed in Januari 2017

Outside build up areas it's 70, unless

- there's a physical divide, 2 lanes minimum either way, and no signs to limit speed  120

- there's a sign 90  90

- motorway  120

Thank you so much for your response and I appreciate your time.
The 1st one is very much clear that it should be 120Kph. on the 2nd one ideally it should be 90 as the book says as below,
"On roads outside a buildup area , where the directions are segregated by road markings and thus no central reservation, the maximum speed limit is 90 Kph". In this case as it comes under Flanders hence 70 else there is no logical conclusion behind this.I believe I have to just memorize it only... :D
Agree with your remark of confusion. Thanks.

In 7804 there is a physical divide between both directions

2 lanes either way, physical divide: 120

In 8105 there is only a painted roadmarking separating both directions : 70

Even though there are as many lanes either way as in 7804, the nature of the divide determines the speed
There would need be a road sign to allow 90

The way the Belgian highway code is "structured" is very confusing, and the regional changes only add to that confusion ...

Hello Team,

Could you please explain answers of these 2 questions.

In 7804, express road is in flanders and separated by a verge then speed limit is 120 and not 70.

In 8105, express road in flanders and separated by a line then speed limit is 70 and not 90.

If first is 70 then 2nd should be 70.
If first is 120 then second should be 90. Isn't it?

Requesting you to please explain.

Regards,
