You're not allowed to park on a roadway divided into lanes - unless indicated with the signs above

(and even those signs should only indicate a time-limited parking permission ...)

It says so in the dutch version of the website, here:

You are not allowed to park (but you are allowed to stand still): on a road that is divided into lanes. Parking is allowed if these signs allow it.

The answer is no. I'm just wondering the reason.
The best reason I could come up with is: You are not allowed to park wherever you would endanger or hinder others.
And in this case, cars have to cross the solid line in the middle of the road if they want to pass you.
Is this reasoning correct? Would it be allowed to park there if the line on the road was broken?
